Eating & Training, Training & Eating – that’s my week done!!!
Hi Guys,
Fab-u-lous! I have managed to nail a full week’s training without any ammendments for the first time in ages! What a difference a week makes in politics and my world! I actually had some energy left on Friday and didnt need to drag myself into the weekend. What changed? Just my mind set really.
I am now helping three people to achieve their fitness/race dreams.
1) Tim’s sister Nik is enjoying her Blenheim Triathlon training and I am also writing programmes for two work colleagues.
2) Dan (aged 19) -Teaching Assistant is coming to the gym and strength training with me. He doesnt mind training with someone the same age as his Mum!! Sitting on the loo and brushing his hair have been challenging with the level of DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) he is experiencing. However he is still keen and commited to throwing the iron around and working on safe technique. Something quite a few of the ‘meat heads’ in my gym could do with focusing more on!
3) Anne ( aged 21++++) -Teacher has entered the Plymouth Half Marathon. She has completed the Edinburgh Marathon in 2009 but that was following me on the bus! It came as quite a shock to her when she discovered that wheels and an engine are not allowed! Anne has embraced the challenge and bought her first bit of running gear today-a sports watch. She is following a walk/jog program will be completing the Women’s Only 10km at the New Forest Festival of Running on Sat 10th March as a warm-up for the BIG one in June.
As for me, well I took my new steed out on Saturday & absolutely fell in love with her (in a platonic way obviously!) She is smooth, light and very responsive. Just like me-although I am very heavy! Partly because I ate three plates of food at ‘Jimmy Spices’ on Friday night & then four courses at an Italian Evening last night!! I must work on my portion control! I did sqeeze in a 9 mile run along the sea front on Sunday morning though, in an attempt to beat the bulge!
Oh yea, please let me know on my Facebook page if you would like a discount to the Bath & West Multisport Festival (7th/8th July). I can get you 5% off of the following already very reasonably priced races :
Stay warm and safe this week-it’s going to be a cold and slippery one!!
Rach xx
